Toowoomba has taken out the 2019 Build Magazine Award for Most Innovative Road Construction Award

Presented by AI Global and Built Magazine

The many complex structures along the 41 km alignment, such as the 800m viaduct and New England Highway dual arch bridges, were considered just some of the innovative features. In addition, the financial structure, community engagement and legacy projects contributed to the overall project innovation. Presented by AI Global and Built Magazine the Infrastructure category focusses on organisations or individuals demonstrating innovation.

The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through a Private Partnership Project contract arrangement and took a partnership approach with three levels of Government to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional outcomes.

Nexus Infrastructure, CEO, John Hagan said it had been recognised as an outstanding project due to the focus on outcomes between all parties within the P3, with local government and within the community at large.
